NEW ADDITION TO SENSITES' SUCCESSFUL WIRELESS LOCAL TRACING AND TELEMETRY SOLUTIONS FURTHER EXPANDS TELEMETRY FUNCTIONALITY
Eindhoven, the Netherlands, February 2 2004 - Sensite Solutions, leading provider of wireless local tracing and telemetry solutions, today introduces the BN283 Wireless Humidity Sensor. The BN283 Wireless Humidity Sensor is equipped with a humidity-sensitive sensor and has been designed with the real-time and continuous monitoring of perishable produce in mind.
Real Time Relative Humidity Monitoring
"The BN283 further expands the possibilities of our successful LogiSphere system that is designed for effective insight in, and control of logistical processes", comments Jan Vet, co-founder of Sensite Solutions. "It can, for instance, be employed for the real time monitoring of assets in location based implementations, as well as to supervise assets moving throughout global supply chains. Added to our LogiSphere system, the BN283 is the ideal tool to monitor relative humidity throughout these supply chains: e.g. in greenhouses during production, in containers during transport, in warehouses during storage, up to the in-store shelves".
Customers` Request
The new Wireless Sensor has been designed for precision humidity measurements and seamlessly integrates in the LogiSphere infrastructure. "We have had many requests from customers already monitoring the temperature of their assets via our system. For some perishable products, the right combination of temperature and relative humidity is essential for their final quality. With the introduction of the BN283, we can now offer our customers the total solution that allows them to monitor the overall condition of their goods real time", explains Jan Vet, co-founder of Sensite Solutions.
Cut Down on Energy Costs in Process Industry
Besides monitoring food, flowers and other perishable goods, the BN283 is also very well suited for other applications. Jan Vet illustrates: "the BN283 is an ideal instrument for monitoring, for instance, paintings during transport in order to prevent damage due to changes in the relative humidity. Whereas in industrial applications, the BN283 enables establishing the optimal relative humidity, allowing process controllers to minimise their energy requirements. As this is typically a very substantial cost component in many industries, companies can thus significantly reduce their overall cost levels".
